c88e1a0663 [ty] Avoid emitting Liskov repeated violations from grandparent to child (#22484)
## Summary

If parent violates LSP against grandparent, and child has the same
violation (but matches parent), we no longer flag the LSP violation on
child, since it can't be fixed without violating parent.

If parent violates LSP against grandparent, and child violates LSP
against both parent and grandparent, we emit two diagnostics (one for
each violation).

If parent violates LSP against grandparent, and child violates LSP
against parent (but not grandparent), we flag it.

Closes https://github.com/astral-sh/ty/issues/2000.

68a2f6c57d [ty] Fix super() with TypeVar-annotated self and cls parameter (#22208)
## Summary

This PR fixes `super()` handling when the first parameter (`self` or
`cls`) is annotated with a TypeVar, like `Self`.

Previously, `super()` would incorrectly resolve TypeVars to their bounds
before creating the `BoundSuperType`. So if you had `self: Self` where
`Self` is bounded by `Parent`, we'd process `Parent` as a
`NominalInstance` and end up with `SuperOwnerKind::Instance(Parent)`.

As a result:

```python
class Parent:
    @classmethod
    def create(cls) -> Self:
        return cls()
class Child(Parent):
    @classmethod
    def create(cls) -> Self:
        return super().create()  # Error: Argument type `Self@create` does not satisfy upper bound `Parent`
```

We now track two additional variants on `SuperOwnerKind` for TypeVar
owners:

- `InstanceTypeVar`: for instance methods where self is a TypeVar (e.g.,
`self: Self`).
- `ClassTypeVar`: for classmethods where `cls` is a `TypeVar` wrapped in
`type[...]` (e.g., `cls: type[Self]`).

Closes https://github.com/astral-sh/ty/issues/2122.

8b8b174e4f [ty] Add a diagnostic for @functools.total_ordering without a defined comparison method (#22183)

This raises a `ValueError` at runtime:

4712503c6d [ty] cargo insta test --force-update-snapshots (#22313)
Snapshot tests recently started reporting this warning:

> Snapshot test passes but the existing value is in a legacy format.
> Please run cargo insta test --force-update-snapshots to update to a
> newer format.

This PR is the result of that forced update.

One file (crates/ruff_db/src/diagnostic/render/full.rs) seems to get
corrupted, because it contains strings with unprintable characters that
trigger some bug in cargo-insta. I've manually reverted that file, and
also manually reverted the `input_file:` lines, which we like.

f9afcc400c [ty] Improve diagnostic when a user tries to access a function attribute on a Callable type (#22182)
## Summary

Other type checkers allow you to access all `FunctionType` attributes on
any object with a `Callable` type. ty does not, because this is
demonstrably unsound, but this is often a source of confusion for users.
And there were lots of diagnostics in the ecosystem report for
https://github.com/astral-sh/ruff/pull/22145 that were complaining that
"Object of type `(...) -> Unknown` has no attribute `__name__`", for
example.

The discrepancy between what ty does here and what other type checkers
do is discussed a bit in https://github.com/astral-sh/ty/issues/1495.
You can see that there have been lots of issues closed as duplicates of
that issue; we should probably also add an FAQ entry for it.

Anyway, this PR adds a subdiagnostic to help users out when they hit
this diagnostic. Unfortunately something I did meant that rustfmt
increased the indentation of the whole of this huge closure, so this PR
is best reviewed with the "No whitespace" option selected for viewing
the diff.

acdda78189 [ty] Fix @staticmethod combined with other decorators incorrectly binding self (#22128)
## Summary

We already had `CallableTypeKind::ClassMethodLike` to track callables
that behave like `classmethods` (always bind the first argument). This
PR adds the symmetric `CallableTypeKind::StaticMethodLike` for callables
that behave like `staticmethods` (never bind `self`).

## Summary

We're actually quite good at computing this but the main issue is just
that we compute it at the type-level and so wrap it in `Literal[...]`.
So just special-case the rendering of these to omit `Literal[...]` and
fallback to `...` in cases where the thing we'll show is probably
useless (i.e. `x: str = str`).

c02bd11b93 [ty] Infer typevar specializations for Callable types (#21551)
This is a first stab at solving
https://github.com/astral-sh/ty/issues/500, at least in part, with the
old solver. We add a new `TypeRelation` that lets us opt into using
constraint sets to describe when a typevar is assignability to some
type, and then use that to calculate a constraint set that describes
when two callable types are assignable. If the callable types contain
typevars, that constraint set will describe their valid specializations.
We can then walk through all of the ways the constraint set can be
satisfied, and record a type mapping in the old solver for each one.

0b918ae4d5 [ty] Improve check enforcing that an overloaded function must have an implementation (#21978)
## Summary

- Treat `if TYPE_CHECKING` blocks the same as stub files (the feature
requested in https://github.com/astral-sh/ty/issues/1216)
- We currently only allow `@abstractmethod`-decorated methods to omit
the implementation if they're methods in classes that have _exactly_
`ABCMeta` as their metaclass. That seems wrong -- `@abstractmethod` has
the same semantics if a class has a subclass of `ABCMeta` as its
metaclass. This PR fixes that too. (I'm actually not _totally_ sure we
should care what the class's metaclass is at all -- see discussion in
https://github.com/astral-sh/ty/issues/1877#issue-3725937441... but the
change this PR is making seems less wrong than what we have currently,
anyway.)

15cb41c1f9 [ty] Add 'remove unused ignore comment' code action (#21582)
## Summary

This PR adds a code action to remove unused ignore comments.

This PR also includes some infrastructure boilerplate to set up code
actions in the editor:

* Extend `snapshot-diagnostics` to render fixes
* Render fixes when using `--output-format=full`
* Hook up edits and the code action request in the LSP
* Add the `Unnecessary` tag to `unused-ignore-comment` diagnostics
* Group multiple unused codes into a single diagnostic

The same fix can be used on the CLI once we add `ty fix`

Note: `unused-ignore-comment` is currently disabled by default.
